With the growing concern regarding the use of genetically modified (GM) ingredients in our food supply, there is an emerging market demand for new ingredients that are made exclusively from non-genetically modified (non-GM) materials. There is also another related term called "identity-preserved" (IP) which is a documented system in place to guarantee that the raw materials, production system, and finished products are properly segregated from genetically modified (GM) materials.

Diehl Food Ingredients' new products are produced under a strict non-GM IP program that consists of sourcing ingredients with non-GM traceability and maintaining the controlled segregation at Diehl's Defiance Ohio production facility. According to EU regulations 1829/2003 and 1830/2003, these products meet the traceability requirements and do not require special labeling (as containing GM materials).
